Last Friday (8 August), the board members of Harmony House and our staff sincerely welcomed Mrs. Lee to visit our Shelter for Women and Children. We are truly honored to meet her and grateful for the opportunity to introduce our emergency accommodation services and various support programs for women and children affected by domestic violence, including dormitory facilities, horticultural therapy. She had also met with our fellow residents and women who have transitioned out of our shelter.
Founded in 1985, Harmony House is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The Shelter was our first service unit and is also the first organization in Hong Kong to offer shelter for women and children survivors of domestic violence. We firmly believe that no one should suffer from any form of violence, and we are dedicated to promoting the importance of building harmonious families within the community.
Mrs. Lee’s visit not only affirms and supports our work but also brings warmth, encouragement, and hope to survivors and their children. We look forward to this meaningful exchange helping to foster a safer, more harmonious, and happier future for those we serve.
Once again, we sincerely thank Mrs. Lee for her presence and support! 💖
