Capture and Embrace: A Family Camp and Post Camp Gathering

This event focused on the themes of "Love Languages" and "Non-violent Communication." We organized engaging activities, including a photography scavenger hunt where participants had to complete tasks related to the "Five Love Languages," allowing them to personally experience and understand the importance of these languages of love.

After a family barbecue, parents and children spent their afternoon in separate yet enriching activities. Parents participated in a "Self-Care and the Art of No-nviolent Communication" workshop, led by staff who guided them through a “Wishing Star” activity, highlighting the significance of self-care and nonviolent communication. Meanwhile, children enjoyed camp activities where they also utilized affirming language from the Five Love Languages to cheer one another on, fostering a spirit of teamwork.

Post-Parent-Child Camp Gathering

We held a Parent-Child Photo Album Workshop to deepen participants' reflections and memories of the event, enhance parent-child relationships, and promote emotional communication while reviewing and summarizing the entire activity.

Overall, this event positively impacted family support and parent-child communication. All participants reported that the activities increased their awareness of the Five Love Languages and nonviolent communication, taught them skills for self-care and stress management, improved their physical and mental well-being, and strengthened positive emotional connections within their families. They expressed a desire to continue participating in similar family-oriented activities.
