Couples' Group
This event utilized expressive art as an intervention strategy, aiming to facilitate a series of interactive activities and workshops that help couples better understand each other while enhancing the joy and quality of their shared life. The program spent two weekends of engaging activities.
The couples' group included activities such as painting and role-playing. In one notable activity called "Mirror Mimicking," couples observed and imitated each other's actions, which not only enabled them to pay close attention to one another but also fostered meaningful connections through interaction. This dynamic led to emotional resonance, prompting deeper understanding of each other's needs and expectations.
Children' s Parallel Group
Staff organized a parallel group for the children, allowing them to engage in activities in a separate space, which enabled couples to immerse themselves in the group sessions, alleviating the burden of child care.
Throughout the two-day retreat, each activity was followed by small group discussions, during which couples shared their unique insights, enriching their overall experience. Participants found the experience of expressive art refreshing and engaging, while also recognizing the importance of effective communication and interaction in their relationships and how these interactions promote mutual understanding and support.
In summary, this event effectively enhanced understanding among couples and offered inspiration for their future together.
